LUBBOCK, Texas — Most students in the Lubbock area will be on spring break next week and with a week off from school, the community has organized events to keep your kiddos busy. EverythingLubbock.com created a list of kid-friendly events during the week of spring break.
- National Ranching Heritage Center – From March 11 through 15, there will be story time with Hank the Cowdog at 2:00 p.m. in the Cash Family Ranch Life Learning Center.
- Bricks and Minifigs – The Lego and Minifig store will host a camp from March 11 through 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The spots are $30 a child, and the store suggests registering early to reserve your child’s spot.
- Buckner Lubbock – The non-profit organization will host a kids camp for ages 5 through 12 and a teen camp for 13 through 17 on March 11 and 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- American Windmill Museum – There will be a spring break model train show event from March 12 through 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Admission to the event is $5 a person, American Windmill Museum and kids under 5 are free.
- ART & Company – From March 11 through 13, there will be a spring break art camp where there will be a variety of art projects such as acrylic, 3D, upcycled canvas and more.
- The Weird Space – From March 12 through 16, the immersive art gallery will host “Camp Weirdos” where there will be new crafts each day. The business will also be hosting a variety of events all month.
- The Ruffled Cup – The cupcake shop will host spring break classes from March 11 through 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Attendees must sign up online to reserve a spot.
- Miss Megan’s Make Room – The make room will host several classes and camps the week of spring break with a multitude of activities for different ages.
- Lubbock Lake Landmark – The community is invited to drop by anytime from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from March 14 through 16 for different activities. Children must be attended.
- Boys & Girls Club of Lubbock – The organization will host a spring break camp from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at all club locations. Non-members are welcomed for $25 for the week.
- Parry’s Pizza – The pizza spot will host a kid’s night on March 12 with a showing of Toy Story 3 on the patio. If you show up with a Toy Story costume, you can get a free kids cheese pizza.
- Buddy Holly Center – From March 12 through March 15, there will be activities from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday. All activities are $1 with museum admission fees applicable.
- Silents Wings Museum – From March 12 through March 15, there will be activities from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday. All activities are $1 with museum admission fees applicable.
