Espresso Martini with Baileys is a simple four-ingredient dessert co*cktail. This basic recipe makes the perfect after-dinner drink for coffee lovers like me!
In addition to this coffee co*cktail, try our Apple Cider Martinis or Chocolate Martinis next.
Creamy Espresso Martini
A classic espresso martini excludes the Baileys and uses a touch of simple syrup instead. However, including the Irish cream liqueur is next level for an extra creamy flavor. This is definitely a new favorite at our home.
This martini is usually served AFTER dinner – for dessert. But there are no rules so sip it when you wish! I recommend pairing it with a slice of our Heart Shaped Chocolate Cake!
Why we LOVE this Delicious co*cktail:
- ESPRESSO FLAVOR – This co*cktail shines with flavors of the coffee, which we love.
- FOR IRISH CREAM LOVERS – The creamy Baileys is SO delicious, as always.
- MAKES AN ELEGANT co*ckTAIL – Date night here we come!
What You’ll Need:
Simple ingredients for the perfect co*cktail.
- Espresso – I recommend using fresh espresso from an espresso machine (linked below). For best results, avoid using instant espresso powder for these.
- Vodka – Use a regular vodka.
- Kahlua Coffee Liqueur – Another key ingredient to enhance the rich coffee flavor.
- Baileys – You can use different variations of Baileys Irish cream.
How to make this Creamy Espresso Martini Recipe:
Step 1
Make the espresso. If you have an espresso maker, it’s ideal for this recipe. In a pinch, you can use cold brew concentrate for that strong coffee taste. Chill before combining.
Step 2
Measure ingredients. Measure out all of the ingredients and add to a co*cktail shaker (or mason jar).
Step 3
Chill. If time allows, place the co*cktail shaker in the refrigerator to chill.
Step 4
Prep glasses. Add some cocoa powder and powdered sugar to a small plate and combine well. Add some drizzles of chocolate syrup to another plate. Then dip the top of the glass in the chocolate syrup followed by the dry cocoa mixture.
Step 5
Shake in a co*cktail shaker or mason jar. Add some ice cubes to the co*cktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds.
Step 6
Pour and serve. Pour the espresso martinis in your favorite martini glasses. Add a dusting of the cocoa powder/powdered sugar mixture to the tops of the martinis. Serve immediately.
