Best, Easiest Players To Trade For In Madden 23 To Bolster Any Roster (1)

Is it time to bolster your franchise with some impact players sitting in the trade market?

There have finally been some exciting additions to the trade market in “Madden NFL 23.” For starters, users can now use a trade finder to find deals for any incoming or outgoing asset. After years of complaints from the community, it appears that transactions are much more realistic in the latest edition of the storied Madden franchise. That said, after some research, there are still players to be had under market value.

Here are the best players to trade for in Madden 23:

Tyler Lockett or D.K. Metcalf, WR, Seattle Seahawks — 90 and 89 overall respectively
Both Seattle Seahawks receivers would be a notable upgrade to all other 31 teams and are cost-effective trade targets. Despite what most fans would expect, Lockett was awarded one higher overall but can be obtained for less than Metcalf due to his age (29 vs. 24 years old).

Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco 49ers — 89 overall
Given Samuel’s versatility and electricity, he’ll surely be one of the first players sought after in franchise mode. Fortunately for Madden 23 users, they’ll find his price to be fair. Offering two quality interior linemen is the best course of action to get the San Francisco 49ers to bite on a deal.

There are a plethora of receivers on the market with fair value. Atlanta Falcons’ Calvin Ridley (86 overall), Tennessee Titans’ Robert Woods (86), Dallas Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb (85) and Indianapolis Colts’ Michael Pittman are quality trade targets going under market value as well.

Xavien Howard, CB, Miami Dolphins — 89 overall
Howard is the best player to fortify a secondary in Madden 23. The 29-year-old, superstar development trait Dolphin is a legitimate lockdown corner with an ability to perennially lead the NFL in interceptions. He can be had for a pair of league-average veteran offensive linemen or equivalent value.

Other members of the secondary to seek via trade are Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs (84), Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters, Carolina Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn (82) and Howard’s teammate Byron Jones (87).

Micah Parsons, ROLB, Dallas Cowboys — 88 overall
Parsons is the best trade target on this list. The 23-year-old superstar can be obtained for a pair of quality offensive linemen. He’s an immediate impact player that can thrive in just about any role or position on the defensive side of the ball. If you take any advice on this list, jump on a trade for Parsons.

Another pass rusher to invest in is Las Vegas Raiders’ outside linebacker Maxx Crosby (87), who is even cheaper to trade for.

Patriots Add Lamar Miller to Running Back Room

Joe Thuney, LG, Kansas City Chiefs — 88 overall
The 29-year-old, star development guard is a surprisingly easy interior lineman to acquire. Thuney can excel in all five spots on the line given his athleticism and would bolster every single offense in the league.

The Madden 23 developers certainly made interior lineman priced correctly after multiple years of being able to just steal Quenton Nelson from the Colts nearly for free. Still, there are some affordable options worth investing in to bolster any line. Cleveland Browns left guard Joel Bitonio (90), Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow (87) and Jacksonville Jaguars right guard Brandon Scherff (87) are all easily obtainable.

Ezekiel Elliott, HB, Dallas Cowboys — 88 overall
Running backs have been historically easy to trade for in Madden. It appears the developers of the latest edition took some time to rightfully adjust how valuable the position truly is. Players like Panthers’ Christian McCaffrey and Colts’ Jonathan Taylor are not feasible targets but Elliott is affordable via trade.

Raiders’ Josh Jacobs (87) and New York Giants’ Saquon Barkey (86) also are fairly easy to trade for should you either prefer those two or have trouble working out a deal with the Cowboys. The other route to go would be to use a list of the fastest running backs in Madden 23 to find some affordable gems to develop in franchise mode.

Laremy Tunsil, LT, Houston Texans — 88 overall
Tunsil is a franchise tackle and can be acquired for a couple of quality players at only 28 years old. The Texans do not have a ton of players worth trading for amid their ongoing rebuild but Tunsil is certainly one of them.

Other tackles to consider are Los Angeles Rams right tackle Rob Havenstein (85) — who is basically free on the trade market — and New York Jets right tackle Mekhi Becton (78).

Michael Pierce, DT, Baltimore Ravens — 88 overall
Pierce should almost be deemed as a must-add due to his incredibly cheap acquisition cost. The 6-foot-0, 345-pound defensive tackle can be obtained with a league-average veteran or two to sure up a defensive line in both the pass rushing and run-stopping games. Peirce can fill gaps and free other defenders on the front seven with relative ease using his 94 strength.

Jets’ Quinnen Williams (86) is another interior defensive lineman that can be acquired for cheap.

De’Vondre Campbell, MLB, Green Bay Packers — 87 overall
Campbell was a first-team All-Pro interior linebacker last season and has the ratings to show for it. Fortunately, he’s not too costly in trade talks and can be the focal point of just about any front seven. In testing, I was offered Campbell for New England Patriots left guard Michael Onwenu (79) and cornerback Shaun Wade (65).

Madden 23 Teams From Best To Worst (Highest Overall Teams)

Chase Young, LE, Washington Commanders — 86 overall
Like Parsons, it was stunning to see how affordable how this young pass rusher is on the trade market. To test to market I used the Patriots in franchise mode and was offered Young for 30-year-old impending free agent center David Andrews (85) and tackle Trent Brown (84). The trade would dismantle the Patriots in real life but would be a slam dunk in Madden 23, especially given the ability to bring in the aforementioned Bitonio, Thuney, Ragnow, Scherff, Havenstein and Becton.

It’s also worth noting Cowboys’ Demarcus Lawrence (90 overall) could be had for the exact same package, should you choose to value ratings over potential. Panthers left end Brian Burns is a slightly cheaper 86 overall pass rusher with elite speed off the edge.

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins — 84 overall
Waddle is the perfect receiver prototype to use in Madden 23, especially given the new features in the passing game this season with updated throwing mechanics. The Dolphins rising talent is a superstar development entering his second season. The Alabama product is worth investing in and locking up long term. He’s not only one of the fastest receivers in the game but made the list of fastest players in Madden 23.

Fastest NFL Players In Madden 23

Another speedster worth inquiring about is Lions’ rookie Jameson Williams. The 78 overall features 98 speed and 95 acceleration and a 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame at just 21 years old. You can’t go wrong using either track star to eventually become a superstar threat on the outside. The cheapest version of the speed and size outside threat mold would be Packers rookie receiver Christian Watson (71), who boasts a similar size and speed combination with less refined talent.
